Mounjaro is currently available in the UK to purchase privately for weight loss. Second Nature launched its Mounjaro weight-loss programme in Feb 2024 and currently has all doses of Mounjaro in stock.
Mounjaro was approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in November 2023 for weight loss after initially being approved for people living with type 2 diabetes.
Mounjaro is a weight-loss injection manufactured by the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly. The drug inside Mounjaro is called tirzepatide.
Mounjaro supports weight loss by mimicking two hormones in the body: GLP-1 and GIP. These hormones lower hunger by communicating with the brain’s appetite control centre, the hypothalamus.

Is Mounjaro available on the NHS?
Mounjaro will eventually be available in the NHS in England. However, for now its only available via private pharmacies and weight-loss programmes like Second Nature before being made available in the NHS.
