We’re excited to say that we’ve been featured in Nursing in Practice, the UK magazine for nursing professionals. Being recognized by a medical publication is very heartening, as our programme is first and foremost a scientific one.

The article briefly describes our what our programme does. People who are signed up are sent scales and an activity tracker to monitor their progress towards a healthier lifestyle, and helped to stay motivated by being assigned a personal mentor. The programme focuses on achievable changes in diet and lifestyle, all of which is monitored to sustain long-term change.

We have also recently launched our north-west London pilot with the NHS: several GP practices in this area can now prescribe our programme to people with type 2 diabetes.

Speaking to Alice Harrold of Nursing in Practice, our co-founder, Chris Edson said: ‘We wanted to bring all the advancements that have happened in the US and make it available in the UK. There’s a lot being done within the NHS about starting to prescribe or give recommendations for apps.

If the north-west London pilot is successful, we hope to roll out the programme across the UK, helping the NHS bring digital healthcare to its patients.
